Butterfly Effect
My Own
David Hockney’s photography shows the passage of time the way a video would, except using pictures. It’s an interesting way and I’ve only just been introduced to it. The way your eye just naturally travels down each frame as you look at it really shows what you can do with photography altogether. In a video, you can only look at an action once before you dismiss what happened and you just focus on the next scene. With David’s idea of showing time in the way he does, it gives you an opportunity to look back easily on it.
I had a little bit of trouble doing the cubism, I loved doing the kaleidoscope. Where we made the image twice the size and then dragged it horizontally and vertically. When I was doing my own I kind of just put layers together and combined the kaleidoscope effect with the cubism.
